Not sure if any of you have seen this video, I made it on May 4th of 2012. It was a spark of insight and excitement that happened when I found some of Brendon Burchard's work. As you can see, I was moved by the excitement and thrill he showed in making his videos. I submitted the video for a contest and didn't win, but I am still happy I made this video and it gives me great ideas for future work in this field.
I am President of the Richland Visionary Club. (visit the facebook page!) This is a club at my local community college which is just now in the stages of becoming official. It is for students who have a vision for change in themselves, academically or spiritually, who want to come together to share their ideas with each other, network, and gain support for their goals and visions.
Currently we are meeting in the Cafeteria but soon we will have our own class room and a place for one presenter every month to show us their visions and ideas. A place to brainstorm and discuss real ideas and solutions for change. Things as big as Global social change and as small as writing a book may be shared!
This last Tuesday I set up a booth near the cafeteria to inform students of the organization, it worked out great. I didn't bring with a table cover so I used my red scarf. I made a sign out of canvas board and I played some music while I sat there. I had another girl interested in change show up and she was such a help! She has some great ideas for advertising and gaining new students.
I hope this will continue to grow and can't wait to let you all know when we are an official club! Stay tuned til then.
In other news.... I found out recently about degreed.com which is a program still in beta designed to let us organize the learning we've attained from anywhere and put it all in one place. It is changing the future of education and I'm proud to be a part of the beta testing, though it's a bit buggy as of right now. Go and check out the site!
